Running for 22q Deletion Syndrome

Sarah Spence and family decided to run for the Max Appeal charity. Their sister/daughter Rachel was diagnosed with 22q deletion syndrome when she was 9. Being a relatively rare condition, we are passionate about spreading awareness to prevent late diagnosis. Rachel, and all the family have struggled in the years since, due to her continuing decline, but we want to reflect just a small amount of her bravery by racing in a half marathon. We want to raise as much as we can to help other families. She truly is an inspiration.

They ran the Ards Half Marathon in June and raised £1,700.

Max Appeal are truly grateful for your support and helping to raise awareness.
