Cardiff University Converge Study

A team in Cardiff University is currently recruiting children and young people aged between 10-25 years old with 22q11.2 deletion, along with their siblings, for a neuroimaging study. The study is being carried out in Cardiff and is open to UK based families.  Travel expenses will be reimbursed.

 • Parents will be asked to complete an online questionnaire about the child(ren)

• Parents will be interviewed about each child to gather in depth knowledge about the children’s developmental history and their current behaviour, strengths and difficulties.

• Families will be asked to come to Cardiff for the children to have brain scans.

• In Cardiff, children will complete some computerized puzzles and quizzes.

• Children will also complete balance and ball games to learn about their motor development.

• When possible, blood and/or saliva samples will be collected to help further understand the underlying causes of the possible difficulties children with 22q11.2 deletion might experience.
