Max Appeal Family Day Out In York
24th September 2017

Image: train_medium.jpgSue Colley will be hosting a family day out in York on Sunday 24th September.
The day will start at 11am with a visit to the National Railway Museum where there will be the opportunity to see thousands of exhibits including the famous Mallard and the Japanese bullet train, Queen Victoria's royal carriages and a miniature railway. Even better, this is a National museum so entry is FREE although the NRM carparking charge is 9 unless you have a blue badge. The museum is situated just behind York Railway Station on Leeman Road.
There is a cafe in the museum but if you would like to bring a picnic, the indoor picnic area has been reserved for Max Appeal at 12:15pm.
After visiting the museum, why not explore the historic city of York! Harry Potter fans may be interested in seeing the new Harry Potter shop in the Shambles the inspiration for Diagonally. The city centre is only a 10 minute walk or you can get the road train that runs regularly from the museum to York Minster.
No tickets are required for this event however, please reserve your places through Max Appeal before the end of August so that Sue can let the museum know how many adults and children including wheelchair users will be coming.
