Would you like to help fundraise for Max Appeal ?
Would you like to make lifelong friends ?

Do you have a head for heights ?
Image: last73512992_medium.jpgIf you can answer yes to any of these questions then look no further as Team Max Appeal is looking for participants for this year's Yorkshire Three Peaks Walks.

Set in the glorious Yorkshire country side and with the famous Settle Carlisle Railway with it's impressive viaduct as a back drop the walk takes in the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. In total the route covers 26 miles and includes 5500 feet of hill walking across stunning countryside.

Anyone can join us and become part of the team, you will need to of good health and be to prepared to take on a suitable training resume but no experience is required but be aware this is a physical and mental challenge as it takes between 8 to 12 hours but it is amazing what can be achieved when working as part of a team.

By taking inspiration from the daily challenges our loved ones with 22q face each day a team of 11 Max Appeals members took on the challenge in 2016 and raised just over 4000. We are looking to smash this figure for 2017 and with your help we can achieve this.

We have secured a very limited number of B&B rooms which will be allocated on a first come first served basis with a cost of 80 per person for two nights stay on the Friday and Saturday.

We have experienced Hill walkers leading the groups and so all you need to concentrate on is putting one foot in front of another, helping each other as team and beating the challenge.

Camping and local Bed and Breakfast accommodation is also available if you wish to stay a few extra days and we will be happy to recommend some to you.

A support team will be available on the day ensuring we are well stocked with food and water throughout the day and to carry the all-important spare socks for you.

Not only do we walk as team we also fundraise together so a team fundraising page will be set up for all participants.

This walk is open to all members of Max Appeal, their families, friends and work colleagues so anyone can join us. If you are interested please see the links below for details of what the day entails and then email us on info@maxappeal.org.uk to register your interest. If you are unsure about completing all three peaks and if we get enough interest we will also be running a walk taking on just one of the peaks.
