Max Appeal ExpressWhere/When : Saturday 5th March 2016, London Kings Cross Staion between 10:00 and 14:00
Who can Participate : Anyone with 22q11 aged 16 or overexceptions can be made but will be on a case by case basis
What is it : The day is about promoting confidence and independence by showing Max Appeal members how easy it can be to access train services, buy tickets, navigate a railway station, how to ask staff for assistance, how to read departure boards, how to board trains, how to use onboard services.
At 11:05 we will as a group board a service and make the short trip to Welwyn Garden City, at Welwyn we will have approximately 2 hours to do some retail therapy in the connecting shopping centre, we will meet for lunch and unwind before we return on the 13.53 service back to Kings Cross where we will arrive at 14:20.
If you are an adult with 22q11 or your teenageadult child has the condition and you think you or they would benefit from an event like this and the life skills we are looking to promoteteach then please get in touch with me by Friday 26th February on mark@maxappeal.org.uk to secure your place.
Ps carersparents can be accommodated as and where needed, GTR will provide staff members and I will also be present throughout to assist.
